The Sidenor Group is active in the steel products industry, manufacturing and marketing, being the largest Greek steel manufacturing industry, with a leading position both in Greece and Southeastern Europe.
The Sidenor Group’s business started in 1962 and today is a fully integrated group of companies with 36 subsidiaries and affiliates, 18 of which are active abroad. The production units of the Group operate in Greece, Bulgaria, FYROM. And Australia.
The expansion in Southeastern Europe started in 2001 with the acquisition of Stomana Industry in Bulgaria, where the Sidenor Group continues to invest with the aim of producing high added value products, Increasing its production capacity, improving product quality and reducing production costs.
In 2006, the Sidenor Group expanded its penetration into Southeastern Europe through Dojran Steel in FYROM, with a long-range steel production plant meeting the needs of the local market and Kosovo. From 2007 to 2011, a large commercial network is being developed in Serbia (via Sidebalk Steel), in Albania (via Sideral Steel) and in Romania (through Siderom Steel) in order to better cover local markets and the wider region.
The production facilities of the Group are continuously upgraded and expanded through an extensive long-term investment program of over € 860 million for the period 1998 – 2014.
